Every Employer in Malaysia Must Know or Face Fine up to RM50k!

Attention to all employers in Malaysia, whose workforce comprises mostly foreign workers.

Recently, there is an amended made on Workers’ Minimum Standards of Housing and Amenities Act 1990 (Act 446) – which has been fully enforced wef September 1 2020.

The amended Act would apply to all sectors where housing and accommodation is provided to employees. Thus, all employers who provide accommodation to their employees must comply with the requirements of the Amended Act.
Failure to adhere to this newly amended Act may land employers in Malaysia with a fine up to RM50,000!
If you are not employers but property agent, you may want to watch this video too, as you may have clients who are employers, engaging your services in looking for rental properties for their workers. Learning this new knowledge would add value to your client as well.
